Rivera. My wife and I were on the Pacific Princess(renamed Tahitian Princess) in December. The cruise was from Singapore to Shanghai. We agree that he is a great Captain! Very warm and friendly-while being "in Command".He even conducted church service!

Comment on You Can Make A Difference; Yah, But...!

Would love to cruise with you!
Glad I read your review of the Rotterdam
You sound like my wife who was described to me" You must have a very interesting life"; nail-on-the-head comment.

Comment on DO YOU LIVE IN WHOVILLE?

Mom,

I really enjoyed it and I certainly agree with your comments on the state of Christmas today. While I don't live in the US, I see the similarities in Canada and probably more so here because after all, we are a multi-cultural country were diversity is promoted, guarded and well-practiced by all cultures.

So, in the spirit of the holidays, I want to wish you and crabby and the whole family a "MERRY Christmas"

Comment on The Poker Table...Virtual Friends, Real People

Hi Mom,
I think that Tweedle-dee is just trying to get on your good side. She took my chips today too and then tried to pretend she was sorry for taking them. I know I'm your favorite. Have a safe wonderful trip, we are going to miss you horribly. Please tell Tweedle-dee to behave while your gone.

Luv ya,
Tweedle-dum

Comment on The Poker Table...Virtual Friends, Real People

Hi Mom,
I can't tell you how much I enjoy playing poker with you (usually donating to you). It is more than just enjoying the game, it is the fun and laugher we share daily. Many a time I catch myself laughing out loud especially on the days when the gang comes together at the same table (you all know who you are).
Thanks for the chuckles and the few chips you throw my way. Catch you at the tables.

Comment on The Poker Table...Virtual Friends, Real People

Hi Mom,
There is immortality in the written word. Shakesphere, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and even a man name Theodore Geisel(better known as Dr. Seuss), have all had their stories read from generation to generation. I wanted to wish you the best of luck in writing your book, and hopefully my son will read it to his great-grandkids.

Comment on The Sleeping Tiger: The Silent Majority

Hi Lady,
I recently introduced your website to the man in my life of 15 years and he was telling me that he enjoyed this particular sounding off tremendously. After I asked if he was sure that he was on the right site, because surely I couldn't have missed one!! As I began reading it, I can't help but wonder if your blood boiled writing it as much as mine did reading it. As you know me somewhat, you know I am not the silent type or keep my "thoughts" to myself much. With all of the countries "We the People, Land of the Free" have helped rebuild, support, feed and get back on solid ground could we go to one of these countries and scream to the hilltops that we want our countries flag to fly along theirs, say the Pledge of Allegiance in their classrooms and bellow "One Nation Under God," or ask that the "Star Spangled Banner" be sung in English at their stadiums without the risk of being, beheaded, shot, hung, put in jail or thrown out of the country so quickly we wouldn't need air fare! So please know that this unsilent one lives under God and refuses to let him go. Our own country has millions of people jobless, homeless, sick, dying and much worse and our biggest concern is accommodating those that don't contribute to what this country was built on. Our leaders have become deaf and incapable of leading a parade. This is my country and frankly if someone doesn't like it, go back to your own country if you feel offended.
Please know I thank God and pray every night for you and other families that have their loved ones fighting for a freedom that some have taken for granted or for those who feel the "Land of the Free" owes them something.

Thanks again Lady.
Lorna

Comment on The Poker Table...Virtual Friends, Real People

Yep. You can meet all kinds in the poker rooms. Even a savvy old lady. She goes broke once in a while, but, like the rest of us, if we are addicted, we like going DOWN as well as we like going up, well, almost as much.

Interesting personalities, that are sounding off in their unobstructed way. I like to think of them as spiritual beings. Perhaps we will communicate in such a way in the afterlife; basicalyy unfettered and without hesitation!

Mike

Comment on YA"LL COME!!!

Hi Mom,
Loved it, loved it, loved it. Can hardly wait for the next article. It is no wonder why you are so successful and in demand. I'm very excited about your upcoming move, can't wait to hear about your new upcoming adventures in Tennessee. By the way, you won't have any Elvis sightings there, I saw him at a truck stop in upper Michigan in my travels, where I hear he is also working at Burger King so you will have to head farther north if you want to see him.

Thanks again for a great article.
Lorna

Comment on You Can Make A Difference; Yah, But...!

Dear Savvy Old Lady.

Your web site looks wonderful. Thanks for the effort you put into it. I think I'll subscribe :)

I think you might have left a message for me at my Shipwatcher web site, but unfortunately it got truncated. I'm not sure if you were making a request of me, but I would be happy to help if I can. Perhaps you could email your message to me. Just send it to mail (at) Shipwatcher (dot) com.

BTW Once you retrieve this message from me, I don't mind if you delete it. I was just trying to make sure you didn't think I was ignoring you :)

Kind regards

Neil
